A Heartfelt Thank You for an Incredible “Bags of Love” 2024!
The Durbanville Society of Saint Vincent de Paul successfully completed the “Bags of Love” project, receiving 302 filled bags for the festive season. This initiative will provide meals for over 1,500 people, thanks to generous parishioners and volunteers. Their efforts exemplify community support and the spirit of Christmas.
BAGS OF LOVE 2024
The “Bags of Love” initiative runs from October 26, 2024, to December 1, 2025, aiming to provide 300 grocery bags to local needy families. Participants can fill bags with specific groceries or donate R300 for pre-packed bags, contributing to weekly Christmas gifts for families in need.
Spreading Love: A Community Effort to Help Those in Need
The SVP team’s “Bags of Love” initiative was bolstered by discounts from Giant store, enabling the team to pack and prepare essentials for the needy. Packed bags are now ready for distribution, thanks to the support from generous parishioners. This collaborative effort highlights the community’s power to make a difference through acts of kindness.
