Being More at the Durbanville Safe Space in 2024
MES (Mould Empower Serve) is excited to launch the Durbanville Safe Space on April 3, 2024, aimed at supporting homeless individuals in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. The opening event will take place from 14:00 to 16:30 at 2 New Street, next to the Durbanville taxi rank.
Supporting Kalkfontein Outreach: A Call for Donations
The Toni Dammert Foundation, through its Kalkfontein Outreach and other programs, has seen immense community support recently. The foundation appeals to those able to donate funds, clothes, food, and other essentials to assist the disadvantaged. They express gratitude to sponsors, donors, and volunteers, emphasizing the urgent need for contributions.
Spreading Love: A Community Effort to Help Those in Need
The SVP team’s “Bags of Love” initiative was bolstered by discounts from Giant store, enabling the team to pack and prepare essentials for the needy. Packed bags are now ready for distribution, thanks to the support from generous parishioners. This collaborative effort highlights the community’s power to make a difference through acts of kindness.
Caritas – EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF 2023
The rains this week and the resulting flooding has caused so much hardship. Many of those affected
were also affected by the floods in June and so they have been devastated for a second time in 3
months.
Toni Dammert Foundation – Know Your Worth
Yesterday, Saturday August 19th 2023, TDF hosted a luncheon for 20 ladies in the Wesbank area. The topic addressed by the speakers was “Know Your Worth”. It was a huge success and the response was very positive. These ladies honoured the women in their lives who helped them survive difficult circumstances and honoured themselves for not giving up.

Josiah Trust – A Massive Thank You
The Klipheuwel community, comprised of residents living in shacks, experienced severe devastation due to the floods that struck the township on June 15th. 2023. The Mosselbank River overflowed, causing extensive damage.

Klipheuwel is a small informal settlement (township) bordering the suburb of Durbanville,
Cape Town, that has a desperate need for assistance in a variety of areas.
The children in this community desperately need individuals and companies to get involved
in supplementing the feeding with highly nutritious foods during these critical periods of life.
Our kitchen costs around R14 000 a month in order to provide nutritious food that will go a
long way to optimizing the physical, mental and intellectual outcomes for the young children
in this community.
We are looking for partners to join us to ensure the long term sustainability of the feeding.

MES is a Christian social development organisation that has been changing the heart of the city since 1986 and has been actively working towards providing sustainable solutions to pervasive poverty in the inner cities of Johannesburg, Cape Town, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and Kempton Park.
