Setting up the gardens enables the Kitchens to become self sufficient in vegetables.

Dear Mike,

I hope this letter finds you well.  It has been so lovely to see the work of the trust in various circles I am in in the last few weeks, what a positive impact you all make.

I just wanted to take a quick moment of a very busy few weeks to send you  a link to some pictures of the garden you helped us plant with your donation this past week in Fisantekraal.  We now have 8 gardens we support  and 7 each have a garden.  This last one we have done is on a bigger piece of ground and we are looking forward to seeing this bring yield to more than one kitchen in the future.

As Mercy AIDS we have hosted OT students from UWC for 14 weeks of this year so far and the impact on the thinking of Kitchens being safe spaces for children has morphed into two new after care clubs and a market day for fundraising for kitchens which will happen monthly starting on the last weekend of this month.

The journey towards food sovereignty has been a  slow one as hunger remains a problem in this area, but we are hoping that we will see a more sustainable model of hunger relief soon.

We are currently supporting 15 kitchens still and we are grateful to report that all 15 are doing well and making a big difference to the most vulnerable wherever they are.

Thank you again for the donation and may you continue to prosper and do good on the earth.

God bless,
