On Tuesday 2nd August members of the SVP had the privilege of delivering a brand new microwave oven to Shevon Botha who lives in a ramshackle dwelling made mainly out of wooden crates at the back of a business in Kraaifontein. To help make ends meet, Shevon cares for several children of very young ages at her dwelling and she was desperately in need of a microwave oven to heat baby food etc.
After an appeal for a microwave oven to our parishioners one very kind parishioner bought a brand new microwave oven which we subsequently gave to Shevon. It was evident in Shevon’s face that she was overwhelmed with the gift.
It is only due to you our parishioners that we are able, in a small way, to help those most in need like Shevon, and we thank you all for your generosity.
